College Planning Road Map for Juniors and Parents.
Join us at 6:30 pm on Tuesday, May 17, 2022 in the Cafeteria at Cupertino High School.
This is an in-person event only, no online participation. Attendance is limited to only 120 people. Tickets will be issued on a first-come first-served basis. As the seating is limited, we request that no more than one student and one parent attend per family . Also, if you are unable to attend, please cancel your ticket so someone on the waiting list will be able to attend. Masks are required.
The College application process can be overwhelming and intimidating for both parents and students. There are a myriad of decisions, conflicting information, and as a result the stress level tends to be high. Come join us for this informative lecture on "College Planning Road Map - Junior Class". This workshop will provide the attendees with an understanding of the application process for the Junior Class, and how to reduce the stress of getting through it all.
The session will focus on topics that are important to Juniors, topics such as:
- Admission puzzle
- Pandemic changes
- College profiling and selection
- Major selection
- Writing effective essays
- Submission strategies
- Scholarships & Financial aid
- Summer planning (internships, workshops, etc.)
- Managing the stress of the process
- List of useful resources
Please come prepared to take notes. Photos or recording of the lecture is prohibited, and there will be no handouts.
About the Speaker:
Mr. Parsay is a retired inventor, entrepreneur, lecturer, and life coach. He frequently lectures on topics of disruptive technologies, entrepreneurship, science and dimensions of wellness, financial planning, college planning, and more. Is the event for parents or students?
Ideally the event is recommended to be attended by a parent and student together. Due to limited capacity for the event this year, we request that no more than two persons per family attend (one parent and one student).
Is the event indoors?
The event is in the CHS Cafeteria . Masks are required at all times.
Is there a Zoom link?
This is an in-person event only. There is no option to attend remotely.
Is food and water allowed?
Food and water are not allowed during the event.
Do I need to bring my printed ticket to the event?
Yes, please bring your e-ticket for entrance.
Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends?
Yes, we only ask that you cancel your ticket if you are unable to attend. There is a waitlist.
